1. Is the Howard Commons only open to Howard residents?

  NO! We invite one and all to come and enjoy our community gathering space!

2. Are dogs allowed at the complex?

The Howard Village Board voted to limit pets to the sidewalks and trails only at Howard Commons. 

For everyone's safety and for sanitary reasons, pets will not be allowed inside the buildings, the Biergarten, the splash pad, the great lawn, or other event areas.

3. How does the Howard Commons Biergarten work?

Every alcohol beverage at the Biergarten is served in a pre-purchased glass. Reduce waste while earning discounts on refills when you return your glass!

Purchase your glass with the first beverage and enjoy affordable refills.  Refills will be less expensive – take your glass with you when you leave and bring it back for years to come.

4. Is food available for purchase?

A concession stand is located inside the Activity Center with pre-packaged snack items and beverages available for purchase.  We have invited area food trucks to be on-site during open hours; however, we can not guarantee their presence or hours.

5. Will you accept credit and debit cards?

We accept cash and all major credit / debit cards. 

6. Do you rent skates at the skate rink?

Yes!  We rent roller skates during the roller skating season, and ice skates during the ice skating season. 

$3 for skate rental; Helmets are available with an ID deposit

Socks are required to rent skates.

Did you forget your socks?  No problem - we have various sizes for sale for only $1.00 a pair.

7. Can I bring my own roller skates or ice skates?

Yes!  You may bring your own roller skates to open roller skating and your own ice skates for open ice skating (in the winter). If you do not have your own skates, skate rentals are available in the activity center.

8. Does the Howard Commons close due to weather?

If temperatures are forecasted to be in the single digits for the majority of the open hours; the rink will remain closed.  Wind chills forecasted below zero will also cause the rink to remain closed.  The safety of our staff and patrons remains a top priority, and closures will be communicated via our Facebook page.  Thank you for your understanding!

9. Are season passes available for the skate rink?

The Howard Commons Activity Complex offers Punch Cards for those who anticipate spending a lot of time on the ice skating and/or roller skating rink! Save money when you purchase a punch card that features ten free skate admissions (and rentals too if you need it!). No more worrying about sending money with the kids – just grab a punch card and let the fun begin! When it's full, simply purchase another.

1. If I want to plead Not Guilty what do I have to do?

The Village of Howard Municipal Court needs your Not Guilty plea in writing prior to your initial court date. Your initial court date is written on the top of the citation that was given to you. You may use the Not Guilty Plea Form or write a letter telling the court you are entering a plea of Not Guilty to (reference the citation number and offense name), date the letter, sign it and print your correct mailing address and phone number. You may also send a not guilty plea to the Court by e-mail to mheim@villageofhoward.com. 

2. What if my driver license is suspended, how do I get it back?

First you have to pay all past due fines and forfeitures, and then you must go to the Department of Motor Vehicles and pay a reinstatement fee to reinstate your operating privileges.

3. How do I obtain a copy of an accident report?

You need to call the Brown County Sheriff's Department at 920-448-4208. Please allow an average of 2-3 working days to obtain a copy of your accident report. 4. How do I get a copy of the officer’s report?

You may request a copy of the officer’s report, by contacting the Brown County Sheriff's Office, Attn: Records Dept., 2684 Development Drive, Green Bay, WI 54311, Phone: (920) 448-4200, Fax: (920) 448-4206.

5. How can I determine what my driving status is?

You need to contact the Department of Transportation online or by calling 1-800-924-3570.

6. Is there anything that I can do to get points back?

You can take Traffic Safety School, it is offered at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Satisfactory completion entitles the participant to a 3 point reduction on their driving record. Classes are scheduled on an ongoing basis.

You need to remember that point reduction can only be taken once in a 3-year period; it is recommended that you check your driving record with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to verify that point reduction is needed at this time.
