[ARCHIVED] Meadowbrook Park Sled Hill is Open

Meadowbrook Park Sled Hill

The Village of Howard Parks Department maintains a sledding hill at Meadowbrook Park, 670 Hillcrest Heights, behind Meadowbrook Elementary School. The sledding hill is located east of the pavilion parking lot and north of the playground. The following rules should be observed while using the sledding hill:

  • Construction of snow ramps or jumps is prohibited; this can be dangerous for other users.
  • Do Not trespass on non-park properties.
  • No skis, snowboards, toboggans, or metal sleds.
  • Park hours shall be observed while sledding: 30 minutes prior to sunrise to 10 p.m.
  • Sledding during daylight hours is recommended.
  • Sledding in the woods is prohibited.
  • The sledding hill is unsupervised. Sledding is at the user's own risk. Users assume full responsibility for determining if conditions are safe for sledding. Adults are responsible for supervising children in their care.
  • This is a family friendly community park. Remember to be courteous to all other users.
  • Trash shall be placed in appropriate containers.
There is also a small "bunny hill" located just west of the park pavilion that can be utilized for small children. All of the same sledding rules should be observed at this location also.
